Quarry junction lighting to be fixed

Highways England is to replace bollards and improve lighting at the quarry entrance on the A47.

Following complaints that the bollards were unlit and presented a danger to traffic, a spokesman for Amey, the company that looks after the road on behalf of the government, said that the bollards had been damaged, allowing water to enter the underground electrics.

“We are trying to arrange for them to be replaced during April and this will also include other lighting defects,” he said.
